~~Good Memories of Happy New Years~~

I was sitting thinking about New Years past and the wonderful memories I have. On New Years Eve my mother ( Pictured bottom photo center ) would make Kielbasa and Sour Crout ( I would eat the Kielbasa but never the Sour Crout ) and she would set up a spread of various crackers.. Remember when CHICKEN IN A BISKIT crackers actually looked like little pieces of chicken..?

She would made her famous Cheese Ball (Yumm!!) and there would be a plate with varieties of lunch meats and pepperoni and even Pepperoncini Peppers.. Everything was delicious and we would sit and watch Dick Clark's Rocking Eve and watch the ball drop in Time Square.. and after the ball dropped we would all blow noise crackers.. and say Happy New Year.. Mom and Dad would do the traditional kiss and us kids would pop balloons my parents had blown up and put on the floor for us to have fun. It was a wonderful time and continued year after year.. even after my sisters got older and went out with friends.. I always preferred my family New Years Eve. There was even a few years I spent it still at home but online with a dear friend and we would stop talking and watch the ball drop and then wish each other a very Happy New Years ( If you reads this you know who you are :-)

I hold these wonderful memories to heart and miss my family and friends but to you all I wish you a wonderful, blessed and safe New Years.

~~Baking~~

Tonight I am baking.. one of my favorite holiday traditions...The photo above are cookies I made last year. This year I am baking with a new oven so this should be interesting. Everyone who bakes knows that each oven has a life of it's own and everyone cooks different.. Here hoping all turns out well.
Here is one little thought to leave you with ... Never take those you care about the most for granted. You may never get the chance to make up for it in the future.. Show them how important they are to you today. I am not saying spend a lot of money on them or anything like that. Just take a moment to tell them how much they mean to you and how much you love and appreciate them. It could really mean the world to someone and make a difference to a hurting heart.
Have a wonderful night..
