Judith HeartSong: September's Artsy Essay

I decided to go a different route and created my entry instead of writing one. The first part is a wonderful VISIONARY HOMAGE to nature using mostly natural elements. An AESTHETIC piece of KINETIC Art. I first used a lovely piece of driftwood given to me by my husbands grandfather. I used this as the main body of my piece. I drilled small 5 small holes, two on top and three on bottom and added five eye bolts. Taking three pieces of 14k gold beading wire the same lengths I used rustic metal hearts, crystals, stones, glass beads, shells, small gold dragonflies and FAUX pearls and alternated them to create the strands for the chimes. I attached those to the 3 eye bolts underneath. Then I took a longer strand of the 14k gold beading wire and created a strand for hanging with glass beads and FAUX pearls. I attached that strand to the two eye bots on top and I was finished.. I love how it turned out.. A TOTEM to my love of nature. You can see the results with the photographs I have included.

The second part of my entry I created a COLLAGE of the Artsy Essay words along with artistic pictures all using my printshop program and the photo's included with my program. Here is the final product..

I had a lot of fun with this months entry.. and I hope y'all enjoy them to.
